GIS Program Manager
VGSI is curently looking for an experienced GIS Program Manager. This is a premier
opportunity to work for a new company that is growing quickly. This opportunity is contingent
upon contract approval.
Required Qualifications Include:
- Certified as a GIS Professional by the GIS Certification Institute
- 10 years GIS experience showing normal career progression with a corresponding
increase in responsibility
- Experienced in
government contracts
- Currently Hold a SECRET Security Clearance
Duties include:
- Providing managerial support to a Department of Defense GIS program
- Implementing guidance for disciplined integration of imagery and data to
address geospatial visualization requirements
- Coordinating definition, collection, and compilation of imagery and data elements
with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
- Directing the technical integration of imagery, data elements, and recording of
associated metadata to ensure decision confidence
- Developing and implementing a training program for identifying and capturing field data from an
analysis of imagery and legacy information and coordinating integration of other decision
support assets into the GIS program
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Training
- Consulting in the use of geographic information
