Native Tallgrass Prairie Mapping

Vertical GeoSolutions is curently working on an inventory of Native Tallgrass Prairies and Restoration Projects in the states of Illinois and Missouri. Some of the resources we are using for this project are:

Here is what the Area 1 Map looks like in an interactive Google Map. Area 1 includes the prairies within the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission's directory of Tall Grass Prairie preserves for Carroll, DeKalb, Henry, Jo Daviess, Lee, Mercer, Ogle, Putnam, Rock Island, Stephenson, Whiteside, and Winnebago counties in northern Illinois.
