All American Drop Zone in ArcGIS Online

Saturday, September 3rd, 2011

We’ve been experimenting with ArcGIS Online and the capability it provides as a way to distribute information.  We traveled to Little Rock AFB, Arkansas this week and discussed integrating AMC/A7O’s geospatial information into the 19th Airlift Wing’s C-130 flying operations.  I decided to take some of our very basic geospatial information for Little Rock’s All American Drop Zone and Landing Zone and play with it on ArcGIS Online.  Thumbnails of the maps I created are located are below.  Click on them to see the map online.  ArcGIS Online seems to have some limited capability for sharing data among numerous users, that provides them with some ability to manipulate the data within their browser.  No software required to be installed for the users.
