VerticalGeo took on a project by the Illinois Baptist State Association (IBSA) to visualize all the Southern Baptist Churches, Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCMs), and University/College locations in Illinois.  The IBSA wants to plant churches where there are unchurched college students so that they can impact the lives of those students.  They were looking for locations where there were a lot of students with no Southern Baptist churches or Baptist Collegiate Ministries nearby to serve them.  Two samples from the results are shown below.  The first is a combination of Illinois Universities, Southern Baptist Churches, and BCMs in the Chicago area:
